What type of visa do I need to start a business in Thailand?

To start a business in Thailand, foreign entrepreneurs typically need a Non-Immigrant B Visa (business visa). If you’re planning to invest, you might also be eligible for a Non-Immigrant O Visa or an Investor Visa depending on your investment amount and type of business.

To apply for a work permit, you must first obtain a Non-Immigrant B Visa. After arriving in Thailand, you can apply for a work permit through the Ministry of Labor. You will need to provide your job offer letter, business registration, and other required documents for the application process.

No, working in Thailand on a tourist visa is illegal. A tourist visa does not allow you to work in Thailand, and doing so can result in fines, deportation, or a ban from re-entering the country. To work, you must apply for the appropriate work visa and work permit.

Work permits in Thailand are typically valid for one year. To renew, you must submit the necessary documents to the Ministry of Labor before the expiration date. This includes your business license, tax documents, and proof of employment. We can help you ensure your renewal process is smooth and timely.
